Our History

Here's Where We Give Props To Local Bands We Play With/Admire/Think Rule:

Subterfuge and other LIHC
False Appearance
Mindphrame
The Unthinkables

Well it all started back in the 7th grade (1998/1999) when we all had that dream to be in a band. The band was started by Cait, Linds, and a cool chick Amanda who used to sing for us. Cait and Linds were both just learning guitar and wanted to start something cool, so hey, why not start a band. Our name was Local Poison, and we sucked. We then recruited another cool chick named Jessica to drum for us and she drummed for a little while but things never really worked out. Our bassist was originally Patrick, who was a nice kid, but quit the band after a very short time. After that, we went through this slight period where we were all "Girl Power!!" and such, and wanted to have an all female band. Soon we realized this wasn't going to work out and gave up that stupid, stupid dream. Amanda and Jessica left the band, leaving only Cait and Lindsay. We found a new bassist (Mike) who brought with him a new drummer, but they only lasted about one summer. The idea of them being in the band deteriorated right along with Mike's relationship with Lindsay. After months of practicing by ourselves, Lindsay and I finally found Alex to play bass for us. He ruled right from the start and we knew right away that he was committed and awesome. The 3 of us played together for a few months, until february when we convinced Kenny to buy a set and learn the drums. From that day, Kenny has been our drummer. He's learning really fast and now he rules!!! For a while, we had Andrea on keyboards, but she was feeling left out, so she quit, but our friendship remained(thank God!). We went through several band names, such as Field Trip and Someone Muzzled Chelsea, and then finally we all agreed on Locker47. And that my friends is the story of our band in a hubcap. If you want the gory details, e-mail Cait and she'll let you read her 32 page writing lab story about the history of the band.

note:  Brian Eulau is also a Locker 47 member, but we're just too lazy to add him into the story.

Thank You's:
First and foremost, Kenny, Alex, and Cait would like to thank our Earth Science teacher Mrs. Schneller for making our freshmen year miserable. We would also like to thank Tucker "Neanderthal Head" Bladderman for inspiring Cait's song and being the brave fool that he is. Now he's piercing his nipples in boarding school!  Thanks to Dan the man for doing technical stuff and taking a lot of the pictures on this site.  We thank Chaz for being super cool. Chaz has the biggest mullet I've seen. And I think Chaz is an admirable guy because if I looked like him I wouldn't have good self-esteem, and he's got great self-esteem. You da man, Chaz. Cait would personally like to thank Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera for god's gift to television: Jackass. Next, theres a ton of bands we wanna thank for inspiration. So here goes (in no particular order): New Found Glory, MxPx, Saves The Day, The Ataris, Weezer, Less Than Jake, Jets To Brazil,  Jawbreaker, Hey Mercedes, BRAID, Hot Rod Circuit, Ultimate Fakebook, Thursday, Dashboard Confessional, The Cure, Jimmy Eat World, Mineral, Something Corporate, The Anniversary and Mates of State (for being bands with female vocalists AND synth...yesss!), Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Anti-Flag, The Presidents of the United States of America, Green Day, Reggie and the Full Effect, The Get Up Kids, The Smashing Pumpkins, Cave In, Silverchair, Primus, Metallica, Subterfuge (for making the raddest DIY venue on LI), The Movielife, Taking Back Sunday, Glassjaw, and The Stryder for being great bands from Long Island, our buddies False Appearance, The Suicide Machines, Millencolin, User Friendly, CKY (for the wonderful idea of the Heavy Metal Alarm Clock), Rancid, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, U2, Mindless Self Indulgence, Incubus, Fiona Apple, The Deftones, The Aquabats, Alkaline Trio, and The Vandals. We'd also like to thank our friends!!! Our friends are the best!! All our friends who listen to our stupid band, sign our guestbook, and send our page to other people, and are there for us when we need em - you guys are the greatest! Also, great thanks to our families! Our families rule, too. Locker47's parents are the best. They help us carry our equipment to Kenny's every weekend and support us no matter what we do. Also, thanks to Kenny and Andrea's moms for the cookies :). We thank Jenna for always listening, Dana for being just plain awesome, Shannon for playing spoons like a maniac, Kenny's dog for getting scared of our raucous loud noises in the basement, and the whole Hauppauge crew for weekend entertainment. We also thank Starbucks for all those crazy nights on caffeinated latte drinks. Equipment-wise, we thank Guitar Asylum and Guitar Center for our supplies, Marshall and Crate Amps, and Ernie Ball Strings. Finally, thanks to whoever spent the time reading this, it was quite lengthy!
